Baptism Celebration

Have you placed your faith in Jesus? Whether you’ve been a Christian for a couple of weeks or a couple of decades baptism is your next step!

Location: Every weekend worship gathering. Children’s Baptisms will be at 11 am outside the North end of the church.

To participate, please attend one information meeting.

June 30 and July 7 at 11 am in C10/11

Explore Baptism for Students

June 30 and July 7 at 10:45 am (Middle School meets in the Gym at the VCC and High School meets in the Student Ministry room)

Explore Baptism for Adults

Saturdays: June 22, 29 and July 6 at 6:45 pm in Office Reception area

Sundays: June 23, 30 and July 7 at 9:30 am in the Welcome Center, at 11 am and 12:15 pm in Office Reception area

Turbo NEXT

New to Valley Church? Or just want to discover how to get more involved? We’re putting all four weeks of NEXT into one morning! It’s perfect for those wanting to learn about Valley Church but are short on time. NEXT is an interactive course to learn about our vision and values and help you find your purpose and place at Valley Church!

The Great Pumpkin Party

The Great Pumpkin Party is coming! You don’t want to miss this party thrown BY Valley Church FOR our community! Invite your friends and family to the best party of the fall. Wear your non-scary costumes and enjoy giant inflatables, pony rides, carnival games, free popcorn, and more! Plus the Iowa League of Heroes is back and the princesses are joining them!

With nearly 6,000 guests last year, The Great Pumpkin Party is Des Moines’ best family activity this fall. It’s totally free and primarily indoors (so don’t worry about the weather)! Everyone is welcome!

Vision Weekend

It’s time to celebrate God’s faithfulness in the past year and look ahead to his vision for the future. Be sure to join us for any weekend worship gathering to hear how God is leading Valley Church.

There will be a brief meeting at 10:30am in the Student Ministries Room (following the 9:30am worship gathering) for our members to affirm our new leaders and ministry support plan for the year ahead.

Members will receive their Vision Weekend information via email. Copies will also be available at Guest Services.

If you have any questions, please attend a Valley Forum on Thursday, September 19 from 7-8pm or Saturday, September 21 from 9-10am to speak with an elder.

Garage NO Sale

Want to clean out your closet and help those in need at the same time? The Garage NO Sale is coming! Donations are received at Valley Church on Thursday, June 13 from noon-7:00pm and Friday, June 14 from 10:00am-2:00pm.

DISTRIBUTION BY INVITATION THROUGH AGENCY PARTNERS

WHAT WE NEED

Gently used clothing, furniture, appliances, toys, and household items to help those in need.

WHAT WE CANNOT TAKE

Mattresses, expired infant car seats, tube TVs or computer monitors, items that are broken or dirty, items that are too large to put in the bed of a standard pickup truck.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS

We need over 100 volunteers to help collect and sort the donated items, and to serve the day of the event. Sign up to volunteer below.

Love You Des Moines Days

Love You Des Moines Days is coming up! This nine-day event is packed with opportunities to love our community. 1,000+ Valley Church adults, youth, and children will discover what’s possible when we’re mobilized in fun, easy, and meaningful service and connection with our neighbors and community.

When all of us come together to reach out to our neighbors, God creates a lasting impact. Find a way to serve just 2-4 hours in ways that use our gifts and abilities, and let’s see how God moves!
