Born in London to parents who immigrated from Nigeria, Jo credits her family’s unrelenting work ethic and the grace of God for the bold, tenacious approach she takes to sharing her wisdom on identity, influence, and living an authentic life.
Rev. Dr. Kevin Harney is the Lead Pastor of Shoreline Church in Monterey, CA. Kevin is also the Co-Founder and the Visionary Leader of Organic Outreach International, Inc. He is the author of many books including: the Organic Outreach trilogy of books, No Is a Beautiful Word, Reckless Faith, and other books and curriculum. He and his wife Sherry have written over seventy small group study guides (in partnership with John Ortberg, Dallas Willard, Randy Frazee, Gary Thomas, Mark Batterson, Max Lucado, and others).
Sherry Harney is the Executive Director of Spiritual Formation and Discipleship at Shoreline Church in Monterey, CA. Sherry is also the Co-Founder of Organic Outreach International, Inc. She is an international speaker, author, editor, and has served the local church in the areas of staff leadership, women’s ministry and children’s ministry for over three decades.
Scott Sauls serves as senior pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to Nashville, Scott was a Lead and Preaching Pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian in New York City after planting two midwest churches. Scott has authored five books, including Jesus Outside the Lines and A Gentle Answer. He blogs regularly at scottsauls.com, and his work has been featured in a variety of prominent publications including Christianity Today, Relevant Magazine, and The Gospel Coalition.
Craig Springer is the Executive Director of Alpha USA. Alpha’s program provides a judgment-free space where over 350,000 annual participants discuss meaningful topics of faith and life. Alpha USA is helping to transform the culture of churches to invite in those with questions, frustrations or serious doubts about spirituality, the church, the direction of their lives or anything in-between.
Ricky Jenkins has been preaching the gospel all over the country, and is currently the Senior Pastor of Southwest Church in Indian Wells, CA. Southwest is a thriving, gospel-centered, multiethnic, intergenerational community of believers. Ricky is currently pursuing a Ph. D in Historical Theology, specifically researching pastoral leadership, racial reconciliation, and issues of justice during the Civil Rights movement. He and his lovely wife April have three children.
Chris Brown is one of the Lead Pastors at North Coast Church in Vista, California. Along providing leadership for the church, he also co-teaches a preaching course at Bethel Seminary. Chris loves bringing the Bible to life with his gifts as a communicator and storyteller, but most evident in his teaching is his passion for sharing a real and authentic journey with Jesus. Chris and his wife Amy have three children.
Cedrick is a privileged public speaker for a wide variety of audiences, and serves on the Board of Directors for World Team USA, a global mission agency dedicated to Church planting among unreached people groups. He is the author of several books including Influencing Your World and The Racial and Cultural Divide – Are We Still Prejudiced? He is the founding pastor of Commitment Community Church—one of most racially and culturally diverse churches in the state of New Jersey. Cedrick has been married to his beautiful wife Lisa for thirty years. They have three wonderful adult children together:
Jamel Crawford currently is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and serves as Lead Pastor of New Life Center in Des Moines and founder and of the Des Moines Dream Center. Jamel has been married for 10 years to his wife Melissa, and they have three children. Jamel has been a part of and has served the community for more than 22 years including serving as a youth pastor, leading the John R. Grubb YMCA, and acting as the Interim Executive Director or the Evelyn Davis Early Learning Academy.
Helen Mitchell is an Ethics and Leadership professor at Biola University. As the Director of the Talbot Center for Faith, Work & Economics at Biola University, she works with churches and pastors on faith and work integration. Helen is also a certified leadership and strategy coach, speaker, author, and oversees the leader learning initiative for Convene Corp.
John Gerhardt is a 30+ year veteran of urban and multiracial ministry serving the EFCA in the inner-city New Orleans, LA. Through ministry experience and hosting mission’s teams, he has been living at the intersection of race and class and brings a unique perspective to issues of the church and today’s social justice issues. John, his wife Wendy and their 4 children live in the neighborhood they serve in.
Jolene Philo is both parent and daughter of loved ones with special needs and disabilities, as well as a former educator who worked with children for 25 years. She’s written several books about caregiving, special needs parenting, and childhood PTSD, including Sharing Love Abundantly with Special Needs Families: The 5 Love Languages® for Parents Raising Children with Disabilities, which she co-authored with Dr. Gary Chapman.
When RJ Sumrall was twelve years old, a pastor prophesied that he would become a preacher. As a college student (and two sport athlete) at Iowa State University, he accepted Christ… and was surprised and honored to become a preacher a few years later. Passionate about pouring into youth, he now works for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and as the chaplain for the Iowa State football team.
Amy helps to equip and serve the Church in its mission to help people discover and develop a relationship with Jesus. Through the ministry of Alpha, we create safe spaces where people can ask questions, experience God, and watch as he transforms hearts and lives.
Lora Trost has a crazy passion for people to grow as a follower of Christ. She wants people to know how much they’re loved by Jesus and to equip them to live into their God-given calling. As part of the Alpha USA Team, Lora equips and serves churches in their mission to help people discover and develop a relationship with Jesus. Lora is a relentless Alpha fan, as she’s seen God’s Spirit transform lives during each Alpha session. The Lord uses Lora’s vision for the Body of Christ to grow His Kingdom. She does this by building teams where people experience God’s Spirit. Lora is a pastor, leads a women’s ministry and is often found hosting people in her home with her husband and four adult children. (Yes, they’re all back home now during Covid).
Clint Grider is Chief Integration Officer and Senior Lead Navigator for Auxano, a leading not-for-profit consulting firm serving several hundred select church and organizational clients per year. Clint is a respected vision optimizer who has been guiding leaders through vision clarity processes for over 25 years. He excels in growing organizational capacity, facilitating partnerships, and process improvement, leading to meaningful results and sustained momentum.
Kimberly Stuart is the author of eight published novels, including the Heidi Elliott series, Act Two, Stretch Marks, Operation Bonnet, Sugar, and Heart Land. She is a frequent public speaker and is passionate about helping others live great stories.
Quintin Stieff is the Lead Pastor of Valley Church, located in Des Moines, Iowa. He’s a conference and retreat speaker, in both the US and internationally, on leadership, strategic vision, church-community engagement, evangelism, and outreach.
Brandon served in youth ministry for over 20 years. He is currently the Director of Christian Life at Valley Church. Brandon has written for Children’s Ministry Magazine, Group Magazine, and youthministry.com. Four of his favorite things are Jesus, his wife, Chicago Style Pizza, and fighting off their three boys with sweet ninja moves.
