In the Community
Love You Des Moines
Church can be complicated. At Valley Church, we keep it simple. Jesus said it’s all about loving God and loving our neighbors. That’s why we say to our community, “We Love You Des Moines.”
In 2009, Valley Church launched an initiative called Love You Des Moines to build bridges to our community through good works and to love the people of greater Des Moines for generations to come. We truly have a heart for our neighbors, love our city, and want to impact the lives of those around us.
Community Bridges
At Valley Church, we want to build bridges to vitally connect the community and the Body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head. We do this through programming at the Valley Community Center, community partnerships, and outreach efforts to encourage community betterment throughout greater Des Moines in these four areas:

Valley Community Center
The Valley Community Center opened its doors in 2013 and is a hub for partnerships doing good for the community… with the community. Since that time, we have welcomed thousands of guests and continue to work toward serving and cultivating relationships with the community. We seek to create goodwill in the community through good works and partnership, to reach diverse groups, and ultimately to impact as many as possible in the Des Moines area.
Help the Valley Community Center bridge the church to our community by:
- Sharing your gifts and passions with our community.
- Inviting your neighbors, friends, coworkers, and family to participate in activities with you.
- Connecting with your neighbors through everyday hospitality.
