Check-In Locations
All children can be checked in at any of our three locations, but here is what may be most convenient for you.
Infants through 2-Year-Olds: Use the west entrance to the Lower Level to drop off infants through 2-year-olds. There are check-in stations at the base of the stairway and the nursery counter where you’ll be able to drop off and pick up your children from our amazing nursery staff and volunteers.
3-Year-Olds: Use the main (south) entrance stairwell or elevator, which will take you to the classroom entrance.
4-Year-Olds through 5th Grade: Use the east entrance to the Lower Level to access the check-in stations for Sunday school. This leads right to the Discovery Center, which is an awesome location for conversations and fun to take place before or after Sunday school.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I drop my child off?
Nursery: Use the west entrance to the Lower Level to drop off infants–3-year-olds. There are check-in stations at the base of the stairway and the nursery counter where you’ll be able to drop off and pick up your children from our amazing nursery staff and volunteers.

How do I pick up my child?
Infants through 2-Year-Olds: Come to the nursery counter and show your matching parent tag to the staff/volunteers.
Children 3-Year-Olds through 5th Grade: Enter your child’s classroom and show the matching parent tag to the staff/volunteer as you leave the room.
Who will be leading my children?
Many volunteers serve the families that attend our services. Valley Church members and attenders who are passionate about children and have gone through a background check process help to lead, along with staff members who coordinate and oversee our programming.
What safety measures are in place for children?
In addition to our current check-in system, which requires adults to show matching parent tags for pick up, we have secured children’s and nursery corridors.
Drop-off and pick-up for infants through 2-year-olds is at our nursery counter on the Lower Level (west entrance, closest to the Valley Stadium parking lot). The hallway from the counter to the nursery rooms, as well as the nursery rooms themselves, are only accessible to Valley Church staff, nursery volunteers, and the nursery children themselves.
Adults bring their 3-year-olds through 5th graders to their individual classrooms for drop-off and pick-up during open periods before and after worship services. However, during the majority of a worship services, secure doors just beyond the check-in points are locked, so only Valley Church staff, children’s ministry, volunteers, and children attending Sunday school will be in those classrooms, hallways, and restrooms. If a parent needs to pick up a child during a time period when the secure doors are closed, they will need to show their matching parent tag to be given access to enter the children’s ministry area.

What is your process for child dedication?
The child dedication service is a time when you publicly affirm your desire to lead your child toward a relationship with Jesus, along with the support of those who attend the service with you. This dedication is a special step in your life as a parent as well as the life of your child.
We ask that you attend a child dedication class before having your child dedicated at Valley. The class is intended to explain the logistics of dedicating your child at Valley Church as well as laying a scriptural foundation for biblical parenting.

Do you baptize children?
We celebrate believer’s baptism at Valley Church and are happy to support children who choose to take that step of faith. We have multiple baptism services throughout the year.
