June 23 – July 28 BOOK CLUB: None Like Him by Jen Wilkin
Mobilizing every woman's God-given potential to deeply love Christ and her neighbors. We organize Bible studies, events, and service opportunities designed to encourage spiritual growth.
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength...Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other command greater than these." Mark 12:30-31
“God is self-existent, self-sufficient, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, sovereign, infinite, and incomprehensible. We’re not. And that’s a good thing. Our limitations are by design. We were never meant to be God.” Jen Wilkin invites us to celebrate the freedom that comes when we rest in letting God be God.

An Introduction to Bible Study
2 Peter 1:5 tells us to “make every effort to add to your faith…” This course seeks to lay a foundation for the ongoing pursuit of spiritual growth in your relationship with Jesus. In women’s Bible study we often remind ourselves: “The Bible is God’s Story. I want to know Him. I will find out what it says. I will learn what it means. I will respond to His truth personally, and in community.”
Come join us for five weeks of introduction to the basic concepts of Bible study and use of a simple 4 question tool that helps us ask the essential questions every time we go to scripture. We will practice using the tool and then respond to what we learn together in a way that helps us grow in knowing Jesus and walking in faith with Him.

Are you a woman who desires to grow in faith? Are you teachable and eager to learn from a more experienced follower of Christ? Then take a look at Valley Mentoring!
A mentor is someone with a little more experience who comes alongside another and points her to Jesus. We would love to line YOU up with a Valley Church mentor. Mentors and mentees meet every two to three weeks from October through April. Your mentor is here to love, listen, encourage, and pray with you.
Here is what one of the mentees shared about her experience.
“I feel I have a new friend in my mentor. I know I could come to her with any question, concern or prayer request, and she would be there for me. She has also been very open as she has walked through preparing to send a son to college this fall, and transitioning family members from living at home to assisted living. It has been beneficial to watch her navigate the processes as I believe both will be in my future.”
Anytime is a great time to host your own home/neighborhood Bible Study and Women’s Ministry can help you do that. We have a variety of fantastic Bible Study and Book Study options for you to check out (for a slight fee) through our Bible Study Library.
Our 30+ moms desire to build friendships, to learn valuable parenting information, and to realize their potential as women, mothers, and leaders in the name of Jesus.
Generous support from people like YOU allows us to minimize the out of pocket costs for our members.
We believe that it’s just as important for moms to grow as it is to take care of our little ones. Therefore, MOPS exists to serve you and your kids. While your children play and learn in the care and safety of our on-site MOPS KIDS program, MOPS moms meet to socialize, hear from speakers, engage in creative activities and small group discussion, and share in a kid-uninterrupted breakfast and coffee break. Our hope is that you walk away refreshed, inspired, connected, and ready to brave the day.
You can expect a fun variety of snacks, curriculum, fellowship, prayer and devotions, crafts, playdates, and outside events.
The cost is $60 for moms without childcare and $90 with childcare. You may pay one semester at a time or for both semesters now:
Mom with no childcare (1 semester) – $30
Mom with no childcare (2 semesters) – $60
Mom with childcare (1 semester) – $45
Mom with childcare (2 semesters) – $90
We are excited to welcome new moms into our group for next year. For more information about MOPS or information regarding scholarships please contact Lauren Pawol at 480-298-9973 email Lauren.
By following these simple steps you will have opportunities to make friends, build relationships, serve, learn, and grow!

Valley Moms is a group for all moms who have children in kindergarten through 12th grade. It is a place for connecting, developing relationships, and supporting one another in all stages of school life. We have times of gathering, listening to speakers, tours of local ministries, and participating in service projects where we can get to know each other and our community better. We want to grow as women who love Jesus and love our children and families while cultivating relationships with each other.
