EPIC SUMMER EVENT

  • Cost: $80 (includes transportation, lunch, snacks and admission to Urban Air and Cascade Falls)
  • RSVP by July 28
  • Drop off and pick up at Valley Church
  • Registration limited to 55 students & 10 leaders
  • Urban Air Waiver specifically for Valley Church event must be completed to jump. Link in registration.
  • Bring a swimsuit and towel (girls-either a one-piece or a two-piece with a dark t-shirt on top; boys-no Speedos)
  • Wear close-toed shoes

This is an entire day filled with fun! We’ll spend the morning playing at Urban Air in Ankeny and then we’ll eat a buffet lunch at Pizza Ranch. In the afternoon, we’ll go swimming at Cascade Falls Aquatic Center in Ankeny. This day is going to be EPIC!

6th GRADE BOOT CAMP

  • Cost: $20
  • RSVP by August 4
  • Valley Church Student Ministries Room
  • Bring your own lunch on Tuesday & Wednesday; we will serve dessert each day
  • We will buy pizza on Thursday!

No, this is not like army boot camp. This is a laid-back, relaxed, fun place for 6th graders (fall of 2024) to spend some time together before the school year starts. We will play games and have a short talk about things like school, friends, and peer pressure. We will also eat lunch together (bring your own lunch) and spend time connecting as a 6th grade class.

GRADE NIGHT

  • Cost: Free
  • No RSVP required; just show up!

Grade Night is a chance for students to hang out with other students from their grade. We’ll have games, snacks, and other fun activities! Here are the locations for each group:

  • 6th Grade Girls: Onnalise Cooper’s house (9101 Kingman Dr, West Des Moines, IA 50266)
  • 6th Grade Boys: Mitchell Stocker’s house (500 Knoll Dr, Norwalk, IA 50211)—bring close-toed shoes
  • 7th Grade Girls and Boys: Ragan LeLaCheur’s house (1029 57th St, West Des Moines, IA 50266)—bring a swimsuit and towel (girls-either a one-piece suit or a two-piece with a dark t-shirt on top; boys-no Speedos)
  • 8th Grade Girls and Boys: Ayla Hove’s house (4223 Cherrywood Ct, West Des Moines, IA 50265)—bring a swimsuit and towel (girls-either a one-piece suit or a two-piece with a dark t-shirt on top; boys-no Speedos)
