Be a part of our expansion initiative to MAKE ROOM for the future of our Valley family!

Children's Ministry

Kids have incredible God-given potential to love Jesus and their neighbors - they don’t have to wait until they’re older to make a difference!

We provide age-appropriate worship and teaching that encourages kids to live out an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.

Learn and Grow With Us!

We want everyone to receive age appropriate teaching when they visit Valley Church. Our goal is to help children grow in their knowledge and love of God through worship, activities, games, and teaching.

See the list below for what opportunities we have available for children at each of our four weekend services.

SATURDAY 5:30pm

Birth to 5th Grade · Upper Level

SUNDAY 8:15am

SUNDAY 9:30 & 11:00am

For Upper Level check in

When entering the main doors, turn to your left, and you’ll be able to see our nursery counter just beyond the restrooms. A staff member or volunteer would be happy to check your child in and show you the room where your child will be.

For Lower Level check in

When entering the main doors, turn to your left and walk down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, you’ll see a welcome desk where a staff member or volunteer would be happy to check your child in and escort you to the room where your child will be.

Valley Kids Club

Registration for 2019-2020 Kids Club opens August 1

Through age-specific teaching, Bible memory, and fun activities, we ensure that our Wednesday Night Programs are gospel-centered. We desire for each child to learn about forgiveness through Jesus, know the truth of the Bible, grow in their relationship with God, and show God’s love to others. Below are the programs we offer as well as the age ranges they serve.

Our Wednesday Night programs require registration with a fee. This cost is used to cover supplies given to students as well as other program materials.

Families are free to visit for an evening to see if they like the program before registering their child. Drop in on a Wednesday or e-mail Carter Norine for more details before your visit. Visits are available for Fireflies, Up and Out, and TWO TEN.

If you have a Fellowship One account at Valley Church, use the button below to register. If you do not have an account yet, please create a new account to register your children for Valley Kids Club.

We have loved watching our children be fired up and motivated to serve. Children’s ministry does an amazing job encouraging kids to serve others while continuing to learn about Christ’s love for us.

Scott and Kim Mattes

The Valley Church Children's Ministry has had tremendous impact on our children. Our children want to go to church activities and are disappointed when they aren't able to go. We know this is a huge blessing.

Makila Lors

I so appreciate how Valley Church Children's Ministry comes alongside parents with compassionate Christ-centered teaching.

Julia Hunter

We started coming to Valley Church before we had kids. Looking at the children’s ministry wasn’t on our radar yet but little did we know, it would become a huge part of why we loved our church.

Parent FAQs

Who will be leading my children?

There are many volunteers that serve the families that attend our services. Valley Church members and attenders that are passionate about children (and have gone through a background check process) help to lead the children along with staff members that coordinate and oversee our programming.

What safety measures do you have in place?

Your child’s safety matters to us. All our volunteers and staff have gone through background checks, so you can feel confident in who you leave your child with. We also have a secure check in system in place. When you check your child in, you will receive a parent tag that has a matching number that goes with your child’s tag. We match these as children are picked up, so everyone leaves with the person they should.

How can I get involved in volunteering?

We have a variety of volunteer roles available in Children’s Ministry.  From up front teaching, leading music, leading a small group, behind the scenes administrative work, and more, we are confident we can find a position that suits you. E-mail Carter Norine for more information on volunteer opportunities.

What is your process for child dedication?

The child dedication service is a time where you as parents publicly affirm your desire to lead your child toward a relationship with Jesus along with the support of those who attend this service with you. This dedication is a special step in your life as a parent as well as the life of your child.

We ask that parents attend a child dedication class before having their child dedicated at Valley. The class is intended to explain the logistics of dedicating your child at Valley Church as well as laying a scriptural foundation for biblical parenting.

Do you baptize children?

We celebrate Believer’s Baptism at Valley Church and are happy to support children that choose to take that step of faith. We have multiple baptism services throughout the year. E-mail Amy Natzke for more information about our next baptism service and baptism class.

Do I need to register my child to attend your programming?

There is no registration necessary to attend our weekend services. However, there is a registration fee to attend our Wednesday Night programs. This cost is used to cover supplies given to students as well as other program materials. Please see our Wednesday Night Programming section for more details and to register.
