Challenge is a national gathering of students designed to help teens grow in their personal relationship with Jesus. The conference is committed to helping plant and water the gospel among the next generation. The goal is for students to experience the joy of knowing Jesus and helping others do the same. Challenge blends aspects of a conference, a mission trip and camp to create a catalytic environment that moves beyond the mountaintop moment to building missional momentum within our teens. This year, Challenge will be held at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

* When registering you may either pay the full registration fee or a $150 deposit plus partial payments through June 26. Full registration fee must be paid by June 26.

BAPTISM SUNDAY

Baptism is an important moment in the lives of Christ-followers! Students will have the chance to get baptized at any of the Sunday morning worship services. To get baptized, high schoolers must complete the following three steps:

  1. Attend a 15-minute Explore Baptism Gathering. Parents are encouraged to join their student but not required. Students only need to attend one session. No RSVP is required; just show up! Gatherings will be offered at the following times:
  • Sunday, June 12; 9:15-9:45 am in Student Ministries Room
  • Sunday, June 12; 5:45-6:00 pm (location to be announced)
  • Sunday, June 19; 9:15-9:30 am in Student Ministries Room
  • Sunday, June 19; 5:45-6:00 pm (location to be announced)

2. Fill out the Baptism form. Someone from our team will contact you with more details!

3. Record a baptism testimony video to be played during your baptism service. After completing the Baptism Form, register for a time to record your baptism testimony.

FRESHMEN PIZZAPALOOZA!

This is the last Freshman-Only event of the Summer, and it’s a delicious one! The goal is pretty simple — to have fun! This event may be all about pizza, but it is not the only thing on the menu. Pizzapalooza is a great event to build community (with other Freshmen as well as a couple upperclassmen who will be there to say “hi”) and simply enjoy God’s good gift of pizza!

Our theme for Fall Retreat 2022 is Break Trail. A “trail-breaker” is someone who goes ahead, who makes a new way, and who invites others to follow along behind them. That’s exactly what Jesus did for us! He broke a new trail for us to follow. This year at Fall Retreat, we’ll read the stories of Jesus breaking new trails as we discover that Jesus Never Gives Up on UsIs AliveCan Be Trusted, and Gives Us a Mission.

We believe that there is NO BETTER place to spend a weekend in the fall than with your friends and High School Volunteers at Hidden Acres Christian Center! This weekend will be full of community building, games, food, and Jesus-focused teaching. We can’t wait to see you there!
