GRADE NIGHT

• No RSVP required; just show up!

Grade Night is a chance for students to hang out with other students from their grade. We’ll have games, snacks, and other fun activities! Here are the locations for each group:

• 6th Grade Girls: Onnalise Cooper’s house (9101 Kingman Dr, West Des Moines, IA 50266)
• 6th Grade Boys: Mitchell Stocker’s house (500 Knoll Dr, Norwalk, IA 50211)
• 7th Grade Girls and Boys: Ragan LeLaCheur’s house (1029 57th St, West Des Moines, IA 50266)—bring a swimsuit and towel (girls-either a one-piece suit or a two-piece with a dark t-shirt on top; boys-no Speedos)
• 8th Grade Girls and Boys: Ayla Hove’s house (4223 Cherrywood Ct, West Des Moines, IA 50265)—bring a swimsuit and towel (girls-either a one-piece suit or a two-piece with a dark t-shirt on top; boys-no Speedos)

FALL RETREAT

• Early Bird Cost: $140 by September 4; $160 from September 5-15
• RSVP by September 15
• Drop off at Valley Church at 5:00 pm on Friday
• Pick up at Valley Church at 12:30 pm on Sunday
• Bring sack supper on Friday

Fall Retreat is a time for Valley Middle School students and leaders to develop friendships. Chapel sessions will encourage students to reflect on their journey of following Jesus. Unlike our winter retreat, this one is only with our church group. We will be staying in the Johnson Lodge, TreeToppers and Basswood Knob Cabins. Since we want students to be fully engaged with the weekend activities and we don’t want student phones to get stolen or damaged, student will need to keep their cell phones at home.

BLITZ ALL-NIGHTER

• $80 by September 30, $100 (October 1-30)
• RSVP by October 30
• Drop off at Valley Church at 8:00 pm on Friday
• Pick up at Valley Church at 8:00 am on Saturday

This is THE middle school event of the year for students in Iowa! We will start the event with a rally featuring a guest speaker, a band, and a pizza feast. After that we will spend all night at places like Sky Zone, RecPlex, and Spare Time. Invite friends and classmates who don’t normally go to church. 8th GRADE QUEST CHRISTMAS PARTY

• Sign up to provide food for dinner
• Location: TBD
• Bring a while elephant gift from your house (something you have laying around, no need to buy something new from the store)

This is a time for 8th grade Quest students to get off-site for some Christmas fun! Sign up to RSVP and to provide a portion of the dinner meal. Students can leave their Quest books and Bibles at home. It’s going to be a fun night!

MIDDLE SCHOOL TALENT SHOW

• Valley Church Chapel
• RSVP by Sunday, December 15 is you want to perform
• No RSVP required if you just want to show up and watch!

Middle school students are invited to show off their talents on stage! We will create a supportive, encouraging atmosphere for everyone who chooses to perform. You are welcome to show off a variety of skills, musical, theater, sports, memorization, art, baking, woodworking, etc. Sign up on the Middle School Events page to tell us about your talent.
