Celebration of Thanks

Celebration of Thanks 2020 is a family-led, walk-through experience with a focus on prayer and missions. Families will go through activity stations throughout the church at their own pace.

Please bring your Operation Christmas Child boxes! You will have an opportunity to pray over them and drop them off.

Harvest Hoedown

Our Harvest Hoedown is a FREE community event for anyone ages 14+ with special needs. Come dressed for a hoedown to dance, take a wagon ride, play games, enjoy some snacks, participate in an animal calling contest, and other fun things found at a county fair!

The Great Pumpkin Party

The Great Pumpkin Party is coming! You don’t want to miss this party thrown BY Valley Church FOR our community! Invite your friends and family to the best party of the fall. Wear your non-scary costumes and enjoy giant inflatables, pony rides, carnival games, free popcorn, and more! We’ll also have David Laflin and his amazing illusions presenting three shows each night!

With over 7,000 guests last year, The Great Pumpkin Party is Des Moines’ best family activity this fall. It’s totally free and primarily indoors (so don’t worry about the weather)! AND this year we’ve added an extra day to accommodate even more families!

There’s something for everyone at the Great Pumpkin Party!

On Sunday, September 26 at 10:40 am, we’ll take a few minutes to review the year and to affirm the nominees and annual budget plan. If you’re unable to attend the meeting, please drop off your affirmation ballot at marked boxes at Valley Church between 8 am – 12:30 pm on Sunday, September 26.

Garage NO Sale

Want to clean out your closet and help those in need at the same time? The Garage NO Sale is coming! Donations are received at Valley Church on Thursday, June 13 from noon-7:00pm and Friday, June 14 from 10:00am-2:00pm.

Thursday, June 13, Noon – 7 PM and Friday, June 14, 10 AM – 2 PM

DISTRIBUTION BY INVITATION THROUGH AGENCY PARTNERS

Saturday, June 15, 8 AM – 10:30 AM

WHAT WE NEED

Gently used clothing, furniture, appliances, toys, and household items to help those in need.

WHAT WE CANNOT TAKE

Mattresses, expired infant car seats, tube TVs or computer monitors, items that are broken or dirty, items that are too large to put in the bed of a standard pickup truck.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS

We need over 100 volunteers to help collect and sort the donated items, and to serve the day of the event. Sign up to volunteer below.
