GRANDPARENT WORKSHOP

Engaging With Your Grandkids
Sunday, May 19
11 am–12 pm
Valley Church Chapel

Your grandkids need you desperately, especially as they grow and become teenagers. Often, though, grandparents are the first ones who get cut out of their busy schedules. If we’re not intentional about being engaged with our grandchildren, we’ll be excluded.

So how can you thoughtfully engage with your grandkids? Uncover five ways to get involved as we watch a video of the presentation Mark Gregston delivered at the 2023 Legacy Coalition Grandparent Summit.

Mark is the founder and executive director of Heartlight, the country’s premier counseling center and boarding school for troubled teens. He hosts the podcast and radio program Parenting Today’s Teens heard on more than 1,900 stations across America. Mark has authored nearly two dozen books, including Parenting Teens in a Confusing Culture and Grandparenting Teens: Leaving a Legacy of Hope

What to expect from this workshop:

  • Enjoy fellowship with our Valley grandparent community.
  • Discover five ways to engage with your growing grandkids.
  • Explore practical next steps in small groups to strategically tackle this important topic.

Reserve your spot today to enjoy time with other grandparents, be inspired, and get equipped to connect with the next generation.

How to Share Your Faith in the 21st Century

By Events
Sunday, January 23 from 11 am - Noon
Valley Community Center

We all want to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our world. But some of us aren’t sure where to start, or how we should make connections in the first place with people who are explorers, skeptics, or doubters… or just unfamiliar with Christianity and the church.

Check out our great one-hour workshop where we explore how we can share our faith in the shifting cultural climate. Participants will walk away with strategies and next steps rooted in community, accountability and ongoing love and support. We hope to see you there!

No advance registration is required.
